OPP officer charged with sexual assault

BELLEVILLE – A 50-year-old OPP officer has been charged with sexual assault in Bancroft.

The officer was released on a promise to appear in court in January 2015.

He has been suspended with pay in accordance with the Police Service Act of Ontario.

To protect the identity of the victim, the officer will not be named.
