Former Mayor John Williams to become honorary colonel

BELLEVILLE – John Williams, the former mayor of Quinte West, is flying into a position with 8Wing/CFB Trenton.

Williams will become the new honorary colonel of the base in a ceremony to be held at the National Air Force Museum at 2 p.m. Wednesday.

Williams served as mayor of Quinte West for eight years from 2006-2014 before deciding not to run for re-election.
