Update on Prince Edward County student assault

By William Proulx [1]

BELLEVILLE – A 49-year old Picton teacher has been charged with assault after Prince Edward County police responded to an incident at Prince Edward County Elementary School last week.

Police say an investigation done on Jan. 14 revealed a school employee assaulted one of the school’s students.

Kerry Donnell, a communications representative for the Prince Edward County School Board [2], says incidents like these are not taken lightly.

The accused is set to appear in Picton court on Feb. 4, 2015.
