BELLEVILLE – A Belleville man is facing charges for death threats made at  St. Michael’s Church Wednesday night.

The Belleville Police responded to a call from the Roman Catholic church at 296 Church St. at 7:30 p.m. regarding a man threatening members of the church.

It is an unusual case, Inspector Marlene Gray said.

“Unfortunately, we have many unusual cases, but I couldn’t remember in my practice something like that,” the veteran officer told QNet News.

The 52-year old Belleville man was arrested and held in custody. He has a bail hearing Thursday at 1 p.m.
