Collisions on Highway 401 in snowy conditions

BELLEVILLE – There were reports of several accidents on Highway 401 in the Quinte region Tuesday morning.

#OPP have received several reports of collisions on #Hwy401 in the #Trenton #Belleville area. Please use extra caution through the area.^ag

The OPP reported a single-vehicle crash on the 401 near Glen Miller Road early in the morning. There were also reports of a two-vehicle collision on the highway west of Wallbridge-Loyalist Road.

Napanee fire chief Terry Gervais cautioned drivers to slow down in the snowy driving conditions.

401 is slippery between Highway 41 and Deseronto rd please slowdown think about other people and the first responders that come to help you

Environment Canada is prodicting that five centimetres of snow will fall Tuesday, and that there will be drifting snow. Another two to four centimetres of snow are predicted to fall Tuesday night.
