Fairground’s future committee comes together

  • March 31, 2015 at 11:10 am

By Jayvon Lake

BELLEVILLE – A committee has been formed to decide the future of the Quinte Fairgrounds located at Bridge Street West and Sidney Street.

The committee will consist of three council members. They are Egerton Boyce, Jack Miller and Kelly McCaw. The committee will look into future uses for this land. Currently, the land is leased to the Belleville Agricultural Society, which runs the Quinte Exhibition. The land is also used by the Quinte Curling Club and as a training facility for the Belleville Fire Department.

Over the last few years there were many attempts to build on the fairgrounds but have all failed.

Jack Miller is a member of the committee.
