Call for help results in arrest

BELLEVILLE– A call to Belleville Police to ask for help ended with a woman in handcuffs.

On Monday, around 9:40 p.m., a woman called Belleville Police to ask for assistance in retrieving property in a residence. A background check showed that the woman had outstanding warrants for her arrest.

The 21-year-old woman was taken into custody and was released with a new court date.
