Ontario government to ban flavoured tobacco products

  • September 15, 2015 at 1:15 pm

By William Proulx

BELLEVILLE – Restrictions on the sale of e-cigarettes and a ban on most flavoured tobacco products will come into place by January 2016.

Earlier this summer, the government of Ontario passed Bill 45, which is an effort to promote healthier living for Ontarians.

Under Bill 45, the government will be banning all flavoured tobacco. This includes menthol, vaporizing e-cigarettes, flavoured chewing tobacco products and fruit-dipped cigars.

QNet News is investigating how this will affect local residents. More to come.
