By Kate Shumakova

BELLEVILLE – The Prince Edward County OPP have arrested three men suspected in a break-and-enter last month.

On the morning of Aug. 14, the OPP responded to a call from a commercial business on County Road 27 in the Ward of Hillier. Some food and beverages had been stolen.

During the investigation, police learned a similar break-in had happened at this location a year ago.

In the last two weeks, police located and arrested a 20-year-old man of  Hillier, and two others of Rossmore, a 19- and 20-year-old. They were charged with two counts of breaking, entering and theft.

Anthony Mann, the Prince Edward County OPP community services officer, says that during the investigation they interviewed different sources and, with the public’s help, located the suspects.

The men were released from custody on a promise to appear in court on Sept. 30 in Picton.
