BELLEVILLE – Do you know a child in need of a winter coat this season?

Adopt-A-Child, a program of the Belleville Police, and the Central Hastings and Prince Edward County OPP detchments, is accepting donations of used and new winter coats for kids 12 years old and under.

For almost 30 years the program has been collecting winter clothing for those in need.

Registration for the program goes until Sept. 30 for the Belleville area. Those who register will receive a free coat or snowsuit in early November.

More to come.
