Excitement for Belleville Oktoberfest
BELLEVILLE – The Belleville Shrine Club will be hosting an Oktoberfest on Oct. 17 at its club on Highland Avenue.
The event is being organized by the Shriners and admissions is free. There will be an indoor banquet with a traditional sauerbraten dinner at a cost of $30 per person.
The Shrine Club is affiliated with McGill University and Montreal Children’s Hospital. The Shriners operate 22 hospitals in North America, 21 in the U.S. and one in Canada. The operation costs around $800 million U.S. to run the hospitals each year.
