Clara Hughes comes to Belleville

BELLEVILLE – Six-time Olympic champion Clara Hughes will be speaking at the Empire Theatre Friday evening.

Hughes is a motivational speaker, and will be talking about her successes, as well as her battle with depression.

Hughes is the only Canadian to have won medals in both the Summer and the Winter Olympics, and says she believes that sports can change lives.

She is also the author of the memoir, Open Heart, Open Mind. 

Friday night’s event is being put on by Pathways to Independence and goes from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $40.
