BELLEVILLE – The 2015 Operation Red Nose campaign officially kicks off tonight.

The service gets people home safely after a night out during the holiday season.

Rick Kevan, one of the campaigns co-chairs last year, said Operation Red nose has many benefits.

Two new honorary co-chairs will be named this year – Jennifer Tretina and Kelly McKinney.

Last year hundreds of volunteers helped to get over 2,600 people home safe and sound.

More than $40,000 was raised for the YMCA and Camp Trillium.

The launch will take place Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Empire Theatre.

A list of this year’s operation dates can be found here.
