BELLEVILLE – Fans of comics, anime, manga, gaming and science fiction will have a place to enjoy themselves this weekend in Belleville.

Quinte Mini Con is coming to the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre Saturday and Sunday. The event’s website describes it as Quinte’s premier convention catering to all things “geek.” The event goes from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

Guests are encouraged to dress up as their favourite characters while enjoying the vendors, gaming and celebrity speakers.

The featured celebrity at the event is Robert Axelrod, best known for his role as Lord Zed in the TV series Power Rangers.

This is the third year that the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre has hosted the event. Guests are encouraged to bring their children.
