It is the first international floorball championship that will be held outside of Europe with a record of 16 teams competing.

Floorball is not an Olympic sport. Jamaica, Japan, Thailand and USA are the newest competitors to join the league.

Canada’s first game is set for May 4, 2016 at 11 a.m. against Japan. See the full schedule on the International Floorball Federation website.

QNet News has reached out to Hoskins and will update as soon as possible.
