BELLEVILLE – Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre will host the 2016 Women’s Under 19 World Floorball Championships.
14-year-old Alexa Hoskins is from Belleville and has been chosen to play on Canada’s national floorball team [2]. She attends Moira Secondary School.

It is the first international floorball championship that will be held outside of Europe with a record of 16 teams competing.

Floorball is not an Olympic sport. Jamaica, Japan, Thailand and USA are the newest competitors to join the league.
