Fire contained at Bleecker Avenue

BELLEVILLE – Belleville firefighters were able to contain a small fire at an east end residence Tuesday morning.

The call came in around 11 a.m. after the fire started in the kitchen of 424 Bleecker Avenue.

Reports say the stove was left on causing some boxes to catch fire. The blaze was quickly contained and no injuries have been reported.
