Collision on Old Highway 2 sends two to hospital

BELLEVILLE – Quinte West OPP are investigating an accident on Old Highway 2 near Wallbridge Loyalist Road that sent two people to hospital.

Both were taken to the Belleville General Hospital, one with serious injuries, according to Quinte West OPP.

East and westbound lanes on Old Highway 2 are now closed between Montrose and Wallbridge Loyalist Roads.

The turnoff from Wallbridge Loyalist Road going westbound onto Old Highway 2 has also been taped off by police and is closed to traffic.

Quinte West OPP say they expect the highway to reopen at approximately 9:30 p.m. Thursday.
