BELLEVILLE – Trueman Tuck, who ran in last year’s federal election in the Bay of Quinte riding, died Sunday at the age of 69.

He passed away from a brief illness at St. Joseph’s Health Centre in Syracuse, N.Y., with his wife Yvonne at his side, according to his obituary.

He is survived by his two children Natasha West and Nicole Tuck, his grandchild Lane West and his siblings Shelly Henderson and Greg Tuck.

Tuck, the owner of Tuck’s Paralegal Services in Belleville, ran as a Judeo-Christian Independent Crusader for Citizen Rights.

He finished last in the riding with 373 votes, which was 0.2 per cent of the total votes.

Tuck also ran unsuccessfully in the last provincial election, in the former Prince Edward-Hastings riding.

A representative from Tuck’s Paralegal confirmed the funeral service is being handled by Steele Funeral Home and is set for 1 p.m. on Friday at the Maranatha Church.
