Belleville man arrested for stolen plates

BELLEVILLE – An 18-year-old Belleville man has been charged with driving with stolen plates on his vehicle.

The man was pulled over on Tuesday morning for driving with faulty brake lights, according to a report from the Belleville Police. Following a licence-plate check, it was discovered that the plates had been stolen.

Charges filed against the man include being an unlicensed driver, using plates not authorized for the vehicle and operating a motor vehicle with no insurance.

He will appear in traffic court on March 14.
