Additional PA day for local schools

  • January 14, 2016 at 1:39 pm

By Buckley Smith

BELLEVILLE – Local students are about to get an extra day off school.

The new professional-activity day for elementary and high-school teachers is scheduled for Monday, Feb. 29.

The decision affects students in schools governed by the Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board, the Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board and the Limestone District School Board.

The three boards share school-bus services, which led to the joint decision, according to an announcement issued Thursday afternoon by the Hastings and Prince Edward board.

Students will be sent revised schedules shortly, the board said.
