BELLEVILLE – A Belleville man was charged with impaired driving after police received a complaint Saturday afternoon.

At approximately 3 p.m. on Saturday, Belleville Police reported, they received a report that there was a possible impaired driver in the area of North Park Street and Bell Boulevard.

The 46-year-old driver was showing signs of intoxication and failed to pass roadside testing, police said. He was taken to the police station, where his breathalyzer readings showed over the legal limit.

His repercussions are a suspended driver’s licence for 90 days and his vehicle being impounded for seven days. He was released on a promise to appear in Belleville provincial court on Feb. 11.
