New York resident returns mysterious money

BELLEVILLE – An honest traveller turned in an envelope full of money that he found at the ONroute service centre west of Port Hope.

The New York resident came across the mystery cash at the busy Highway 401 stop on Sunday. He turned it in to police.

Const. Steve Bates of the Northumberland OPP told QNet News Tuesday that as far as he knew, no one has yet come forward to claim the money.

Bates refused to say how much cash was in the envelope.
