Belleville man charged with assault

BELLEVILLE – After a call to the Belleville Police about a disturbance in the west end of the city on Tuesday afternoon, one man has been charged.

An 18-year-old Belleville man was arrested and is awaiting a bail hearing Wednesday in court.

The man has been charged with two counts of assault, two counts of uttering threats, one count of mischief, and breach of probation.

There were no injuries in the incident, police said.
