Heritage Belleville hands out award for first time
BELLEVILLE – Heritage Belleville is giving away an award for the first time next month.
An Outstanding Achievement in Heritage Revitalization will be awarded and the committee is looking for nominations.
Belleville residents are able to nominate businesses or people that they feel contributed to the revitalization of a building or property within city limits.
Heritage Belleville is a city-appointed committee made up of knowledgeable and interested Belleville citizens.
Calls for nominations close on Feb. 8 at 4:30 p.m. Applications can be submitted online.
The group is also hosting an open house Feb. 18 at 6:00 p.m. in council chambers at city hall. This year’s theme is Science and Innovation. Local inventors will be on hand to discuss their work.
