BELLEVILLE – Heritage Belleville [2] is giving away an award for the first time next month.
An Outstanding Achievement in Heritage Revitalization [3] will be awarded and the committee is looking for nominations.
Belleville residents are able to nominate businesses or people that they feel contributed to the revitalization of a building or property within city limits.
Heritage Belleville is a city-appointed committee made up of knowledgeable and interested Belleville citizens.
Calls for nominations close on Feb. 8 at 4:30 p.m. Applications can be submitted online [2].
The group is also hosting an open house Feb. 18 at 6:00 p.m. in council chambers at city hall. This year’s theme is Science and Innovation. Local inventors will be on hand to discuss their work.
