Woman charged with assaulting Cobourg man

BELLEVILLE – A Cobourg woman is facing charges after allegedly assaulting a Cobourg man in the downtown core on Wednesday.

Cobourg Police said a man was walking downtown when the assault happened without provocation. He was mildly hurt in the attack.

The 23-year-old woman was charged with assault and was later released from custody.

She is scheduled to appear in court on March 2.
