What happens to our glass and other recyclables?

  • February 2, 2016 at 10:46 am

BELLEVILLE – 98% of Canadians use recycling programs across the country, according to Statistics Canada.

Glass makes up 94% of all recycled goods that end up in our blue bins, said a 2014 Household Survey.

But what happens to glass and other materials once we put it into the blue bin?

QNet News will be going to Quinte Waste Solutions to find out what goes on at our local recycling facility and what happens to glass when it is recycled.

Stay tuned.
