Tyendinaga man falls into well

  • February 4, 2016 at 3:27 pm

By Stephanie Clue

BELLEVILLE – A Tyendinaga man is being treated for minor hypothermia after he fell into a well Wednesday afternoon.

The 52-year-old Tyendinaga resident was outside his Ridge Road home when the lid came off of his well and he fell inside, Chief Sam Maracle of the Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory Police, told Qnet News Thursday. The man’s wife heard him calling for help and she called the Tyendinaga Fire Department to get him out.

The man was in the water for about 15 minutes, Maracle said.

He was taken to hospital but his injuries were not major.
