Tires worth $4,000 stolen from car dealership

BELLEVILLE – Tires and rims worth an estimated $4,000 were stolen from a brand new Jeep at the Campbellford Chrysler dealership Saturday night.

The theft happened between 10 and 10:48 p.m., Northumberland OPP report.

There is a suspect, a young man possibly in his 20s, wearing a grey hoodie and jeans and driving a light-coloured Jeep Wrangler.

Police say the suspect loaded the tires into his vehicle from the north side of the dealership lot, where all the new cars are located.

Police are looking for anyone with information to call the  Campbellford OPP detachment at 705-653-3300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
