Two break-ins in Belleville

  • March 1, 2016 at 1:16 pm

By Ashley Clark

BELLEVILLE – There was a break-in and robbery at a home on Stanley Street early Monday morning, Belleville Police report.

The robber entered through a back window and stole a video-game system, iPhone and camera around 7 a.m., police say.

Not long after that break-in, there was a second one on Russell Street. A rear window of the home was smashed. Nobody entered the home, however.

Police say a witness saw someone in a black hoodie running toward Pine Street. He/she was described as being skinny, between five feet two inches and five feet five inches tall, and weighing 130 pounds.

Anyone with information asked to contact Belleville Police at 613-966-0882 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
