Cobourg man charged with uttering threats

BELLEVILLE – A Cobourg man is facing charges after police were notified of threatening text messages on Monday.

Cobourg Police responded to a local business after receiving calls that a client had been sending threatening texts directed at the business.

Police have not said if the threats were directed at a particular employee.

As a result of an investigation, police arrested and charged a 25-year-old man with uttering threats.

He remains in custody awaiting a bail hearing.
