Firefighters respond to early morning fire in Trenton

BELLEVILLE – Quinte West Fire Department responded to a fire at a home on 97 Scott St around 2 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Fire chief John Whelan said the residents of the home were able to get out of the house after smoke alarms alerted them to the fire. No injuries were reported.

Whelan said that the cause of the fire was likely electrical.
