Driver fails to stop for school bus

BELLEVILLE – Belleville Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a driver who failed to stop for a school bus Monday morning.

At around 8:30 a.m., police say, a driver failed to stop for a stopped school bus on Mary Street that had activated its lights and stop sign.

The vehicle is described as a silver car.

The incident may have been witnessed by the driver of a pickup truck who had stopped for the bus, police say.
