Belleville man arrested on assault charge

BELLEVILLE – A 29-year-old Belleville man was charged with assault after a woman was attacked on Coleman Street Wednesday night.

The woman was able to fight back, and the man had to be treated for minor injuries, Belleville Police say.

He is still in custody waiting for a bail hearing.
