Tyendinaga Police searching for man

BELLEVILLE – OPP and Tyendinaga Police are looking into a case of child luring from March 8.

Police report that on March 8, a girl was walking on Young Street in Tyendinaga when a white van approached her. According to police, the driver asked the girl if she wanted a ride. The girl fled from the area, told her family what happened and reported the incident to police. The van was last seen driving west on Young Street and turning onto York Road.

Police are looking for a black man, in his early 20’s, wearing a black hoodie and with a deep voice. The vehicle is described as a white cargo-type van with side and rear doors.

There have been no further updates on the incident and Tyendinaga Police have reached out to other police forces in an attempt to find the man.
