Belleville man charged with sexual assault involving young child

BELLEVILLE – A 46-year-old Belleville man is facing sex charges involving a young child.

The accused, whose name has not been released, is facing one count each of sexual assault, sexual interference and sexual exploitation.

Belleville police investigated the man after a complaint was made on Mar. 8. He was arrested and charged and then released under strict conditions

He is to appear in court next month.
