91X radio at Loyalist College celebrates 25 years

BELLEVILLE – Radio station 91X hosted an anniversary dinner and awards night at Loyalist College on Wednesday as part of its 25th anniversary celebration.

Based at Loyalist, 91X (CJLX) features students from both the Radio Broadcasting and Journalism – Online, Print and Broadcast programs who are responsible for a significant amount of the content on its airwaves.

“There is no other radio station in town that does what CJLX does,” said John Henderson, a former faculty representative on the 91X board, at the anniversary celebration.

“There is no other radio station in the area that gives that community a real chance to join in and be part of the radio station.”
