Single-vehicle collision in Cobourg leaves man dead

BELLEVILLE – A 62-year-old man is dead after a single-vehicle collision in Cobourg Tuesday afternoon.

Cobourg police were called to the collision on Danforth Road East at about 3:45 p.m. They found the man dead in the vehicle. 

The name of the victim has not yet been released.

Danforth Road at the scene of the accident was closed while the investigation took place, but in a release issued at 8:45 p.m. Tuesday, police said the road would be reopened shortly.
