BELLEVILLE – The Belleville Public Library [2] will now be open on Sundays.
On Wednesday, the Belleville Public Library received a municipal operating grant from Belleville city council [3].
With this funding and support in place, the board has announced that the library will be open from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday afternoons.
The library board say they made these changes in response to the public demand, which city council has supported. The board anticipates that the library will be a popular spot on Sundays, especially for local students and researchers.
The target date for the new open hours is early June.
