Rob MacIntosh ran in 2010, but missed out on a council position by 200 votes. MacIntosh is a graduate of the Hotel and Restaurant Management program at Loyalist College. For the past 25 years, MacIntosh and his wife Sherri have owned and operated MacIntosh Café and Catering. He was born in Baden-Baden Germany, and moved to Trenton when he was four years old. He now lives in Sidney ward. As a councilor, he says he is looking forward to helping Quinte West to grow by attracting businesses to the area. He also wants to give people a reason to stay in their community, and be able to provide a good life for themselves and their families. MacIntosh believes that councillors need to be aware of the people’s concerns all over Quinte West.
