After studying civil engineering at Ryerson University, Jeff Goddard worked in the field in Toronto for eight years. He then decided to come back to his roots and open a business in Belleville. He’s been running Kingfisher Financial Ltd. as an independent insurance broker for the past 16 years while living in Sophiasburgh.
Goddard says his main priority as mayor of Prince Edward County would be to help promote jobs for youth. He said he has two boys who are away at university, and he’d like for them to be able to return to their home and find decent jobs.
“We need young people to strengthen our economy,” said Goddard. “I feel like there are ways for council to bring these jobs.”
