Quinte Health Care to cut 84 jobs

  • November 19, 2015 at 2:22 pm

By Rebecca Bartlett

BELLVILLE – Quinte Health Care is cutting 84 jobs to help reduce its 2016-17 budget by $11.5 million.

QHC will also cut $4.5 million from patient-care areas and $7 million in administration and support departments, according to a news release Thursday from Susan Rowe, QHC’s communications director.

“Unfortunately it is not possible to remove another $11.5 million from our organization without reducing the number of staff positions, but as always our goal is to manage this as much as possible,” QHC president and chief executive officer Mary Clare Egberts is quoted as saying in the press release.

More to come.
