Frankford swing bridge to temporarily close until spring

  • November 23, 2017 at 11:20 am

By Demii Niles

BELLEVILLE– The Glen Ross bridge in Frankford will close early next month for repairs. A pedestrian bridge will be installed to allow foot traffic to continue to cross the Trent waterway during the repairs.

It’s scheduled to re-open in the late spring next year.

Next week, the contractor will begin working to close the swing bridge. There will be an additional small parking lot located on the north side of the bridge to give commuters the option to leave their cars.

The bridge will close on Dec. 4.
