Fire in Foxboro called accidental

  • December 4, 2017 at 2:22 pm

By Lindsey Cooke

BELLEVILLE – Belleville’s fire department says a fire that destroyed a garage in Foxboro early Monday morning was accidental.

It appears that embers from a nearby fire pit got into the storage garage and ignited a variety of combustible materials.

Five firetrucks from Belleville stations 3 and 4 arrived at the blaze at 151 Ashley St., Belleville firefighter Josh Pearsall told QNet News on Monday.

The fire broke out at around 12:30 a.m. and the fire crews were there until 5 a.m. Monday to make sure the blaze was out, Pearsall said.

No injuries were suffered. Cost of damages are estimated to be $75,000.00.
