Mary and Baby Jesus make a safe return

  • December 20, 2017 at 10:00 am

By Leah Den Hartogh

BELLEVILLE – It may not qualify as a Christmas miracle, but two figures that were taken from the front lawn of a church in Bancroft were returned Wednesday morning.

Mary and Baby Jesus disappeared from in front of St. Paul’s United Church during the evening of Dec. 9.

Police still don’t know how many suspects were involved in the disappearance, but they want to speak with the individuals involved. They say no charges will be laid in the incident.
