Police seize 44 kg of marijuana

NAPANEE — A 36 year old man from Whitby is charged with possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking and speeding after he was stopped along the 401 on Monday.

Napanee OPP say they stopped a speeding car on Highway 401 westbound at Marysville Rd.

Police said they found bags full of marijuana in the rear seat and in the trunk. Police say they found 44 kilos in total. 

The man will appear at the court on Tuesday.
