Madoc Township man charged with impaired driving

BELLEVILLE – A 23-year-old Madoc Township man was charged with impaired driving over the weekend.

Central Hastings OPP say they pulled the man over at about 1:30 a.m. Saturday on Lahey Road near the west end of Moira Lake in Centre Hastings.

He was charged with driving with more than the legal limit of alcohol in his blood, as well as driving while impaired by alcohol and drugs. His driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days and his vehicle was impounded for a week.

The man is to appear at the Quinte Courthouse in Belleville on Jan. 24.
