BELLEVILLE – Environment Canada is calling for heavy snowfall Monday evening in the Bay of Quinte, with 15 to 20 centimetres expected overnight.

The warning has been issued for Belleville, Quinte West, Colbourne and Cobourg, with the highest amounts expected closer to Lake Ontario as moisture accumulates.

Drivers should expect quickly deteriorating road conditions this evening as snowfall is expected to begin accumulating around 6 p.m.

With the majority of the snow expected to fall overnight, parents should also prepare for the risk of another another snow day tomorrow.
