  • September 30, 2019 at 3:12 pm

By Brittany Woodcock

BELLEVILLE – Support staff at Hasting and Prince Edward schools, and others across Ontario, are withdrawing some of their services starting Monday.

The decision was made on the weekend after the Canadian Union of Public Employees walked away from negotiation talks.

The staff members include: secretaries, educational assistants, early childhood educators, custodians, maintenance workers and more.

Contracts for the workers ended on Aug. 31 and negotiations are stalled.
